Heather Seurer, MS, LPC

I work with individuals across the lifespan, including children, teens, adults, couples, and families from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences. While every story is different, I've found there is often more common ground than we initially realize. Life, at its core, can be simple—but many of us have experienced circumstances that make it feel much more complex.

I support clients in developing healthy emotional regulation, setting and maintaining boundaries, and building a stronger sense of self-worth so they no longer accept less than they deserve. My work centers around helping individuals reconnect with themselves, gain clarity, and move forward with intention.

My top priority in therapy is building genuine rapport. Without connection, the work doesn't go far—because meaningful communication cannot happen without it. I strive to create a space where clients feel seen, understood, and supported, while also offering practical tools and strategies that translate into everyday life.

I take a trauma-informed, multimodal approach, integrating evidence-based practices such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Play Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and EMDR. Trauma and EMDR are core areas of my practice, and I am well known within my practice for this specialty.

My background is diverse and shaped by both professional and life experiences. I was raised in Wisconsin and have navigated multiple life transitions, including relocation and career shifts across different states. I have served in the military with medical training experience and have worked in roles related to law enforcement support, emergency medical services, and child protection services. I have also been involved in a family business for over a decade. These experiences have provided me with a broad, real-world understanding of stress, resilience, systems, and the complexities individuals and families face.

As an LPC-MH supervisee, I bring both clinical training and lived experience into my work. I have a strong understanding of relationship dynamics, including divorce, co-parenting, and rebuilding after significant life transitions. I aim to meet clients where they are while also holding them accountable to where they want to be—through support, honesty, compassion, and consistency.

Outside of my professional role, I am a mother of three girls and share my life with my partner and our two cats. I enjoy staying active, spending time outdoors, and creating meaningful, lasting memories with the people I love.
